The Buns match versus Cefn Coed – like others – had to be played on Judgement Day. What had promised to be a decent sized squad, disintegrated into a bare team as Buns players joined thousands, throughout Wales and headed off to the Principality. Cefn Coed rang to say that they were also struggling, for similar reasons– but admirably travelled –with both sides playing short. Well refereed by Alex Yau, the resultant game was very enjoyable with St Albans’ backs trumping a Cefn Coed side built for a forward game. The score line slightly flattered St Albans as opponents tired and pace began to tell. The Buns had two hat trick scorers in George Hunt Pain and Max Hart with further scores from Adnam Omar, Josh Price, Dan Millward & Luke Gibson. Mike Thomas adding kicks. Cefn came close to a bonus point and deserved a 4th try however the Buns held out. The Buns were very grateful to Cefn for making the journey under difficult circumstances.
